Dr. Nassiri is a local Bay Area Orthodontist. Since 1987, he has lived in the East Bay at Piedmont, Berkeley, Albany, El Cerrito, and Richmond Marina Bay. He decided to open an orthodontic practice on Solano Avenue in Albany since he considers this area home and a convenient location that allows for easy patient access from the surrounding neighborhoods and cities. Dr. Nassiri has been happily married since 1996 to his wife, Naz, who is an optometrist practicing in Pinole. They met when they were both undergraduate students at UC Berkeley. They have a twin daughter Kiana Aveen and son Darion Roham that they adore very much. They also have four little dogs and three cats! When not at work, Dr. Nassiri enjoys spending time with his family, swimming, playing music, and wine tasting at Napa.

Dr. Nassiri’s interest in dentistry and orthodontics is deeply rooted in his desire to improve people’s lives. He pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley, and double majored in Mechanical Engineering and Material Science, graduating in 1997. He then worked as a refinery engineer for Chevron in Point Richmond. He changed careers because of his interest in helping others. He wanted a professional career that would allow him to serve his community. To make this goal a reality, he pursued his dentistry training at the prestigious University of California, San Francisco, where he graduated with honors in 2005, ranking in the top tier of his class. He received numerous awards and scholarships.

After graduation, Dr. Nassiri provided dental care for children and young adults with disabilities at La Clinica de La Raza and Salida Surgery Center. He also served as a clinical instructor at the UCSF School of Dentistry. He has extensive experience treating both adults and children. Since 2005, Dr. Nassiri has successfully treated over a thousand full mouth rehabilitation pediatric patients and young adults with disabilities and is a credentialed provider at two surgery centers in California. He has also been involved in several research projects and given numerous lectures to UOP orthodontic residents in Biomaterials. Dr. Nassiri returned to academia to pursue his specialty training in orthodontics. He attended the highly regarded orthodontic program at the University of the Pacific, in San Francisco, where he earned his Certificate of Specialty in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry in 2009. He passed the written orthodontic board examination, achieving the highest score among his co-residents, and is currently board eligible. In 2008, he volunteered on a Rotaplast cleft lip and palate mission to Chengde, China, where he helped provide care to over one hundred patients.

Dr. Nassiri believes that creating healthy, beautiful smiles involves more than just straightening teeth. He evaluates the whole face as well as the airway, skeletal, periodontal and dental conditions when choosing the most suitable treatment options for his patients. His approach to orthodontics involves non-extraction treatment whenever possible as well occasional extraction and surgical treatment to achieve beautifully balanced faces, full smiles and healthy bites.

Dr. Nassiri is committed to his patients and strives to provide the best treatment possible. He sees each patient at every visit and considers himself a “hands-on” clinician who gives personal attention to every patient at every visit. He aims to exceed all your expectations and looks forward to providing exceptional orthodontic care for you and your children.
